What We Do
Family Relocation & Resettlement Support
Helping Afrikaner Families Start Again with Dignity and Faith
At Afrikaners in Christ, we believe every family deserves the chance to start fresh when safety, freedom, or stability are at risk.
We provide a clear path for Afrikaner families arriving in Australia to rebuild their lives with confidence and belonging.
We welcome families with open arms, not into shelters, but into church networks, homes, and towns that feel familiar, as well as places where Afrikaans is spoken, hymns are sung, and the values of hard work and faith endure.
A Christ-Centered Model of Relocation
We do not believe in handouts. We believe in honour, dignity, and mutual responsibility. Our relocation process ensures families are safe, supported, and able to flourish.
We work through a proven 3-part model:
1. Family Support Before and After Arrival
Each household receives pre-departure planning, housing and schooling coordination, health cover activation, and community connection before arrival.
When families arrive in Australia, they receive help with accommodation, utilities, banking, licensing, and orientation to local life and work.
Support continues for four years, covering education, health, financial, and employment guidance to promote lasting stability and growth.
Afrikaans-speaking families also have access to translation assistance, cultural orientation, and counselling for adjustment challenges.
2. Community Partnership and Ongoing Connection
We believe families thrive when they are surrounded by people who care.
Our community partners, including local churches, volunteers, and sponsor families, play an important role in welcoming new arrivals and helping them settle with confidence.
Through consistent communication and regular updates, partners stay informed about each family’s progress in housing, schooling, and community engagement.
This shared approach builds trust, accountability, and belonging, creating strong support networks, for an easier transition.
3. Framework and Case Management
Every case is managed within a trauma-informed, child-safe, and privacy-compliant framework.
Each family is assigned a dedicated case lead who coordinates their plan and provides steady support throughout their journey.
Why Our Approach Works
Community-Led
Our work is grounded in the strength of ordinary people who choose to care.
Local families, churches, and volunteers walk beside new arrivals, offering friendship, stability, and real connection.
Faith Focused
Everything we do is guided by our faith in Christ and our belief in serving others with compassion and integrity. Faith reminds us that every family deserves to be seen, supported, and given the chance to rebuild with dignity.
Culturally Respectful
We honour the Afrikaner identity, language, and values that shape our community. By understanding each family’s story, we help them find belonging in Australia while holding onto who they are.

Building New Roots, Together
Afrikaner families bring faith, skills, and resilience wherever they go. We simply help them plant those gifts in new soil, where they can grow strong once more.
Because starting over should never mean starting alone.
